The Mission

Helping You Address and Transform Your Trauma

The truth is, all of us have experienced some form of trauma in our lives.  The first step in understanding how your trauma is showing up, is starting with this basic premise.

Here at Refuge Counseling Wellness Services, I am on a mission to help you address and transform your trauma. This is the essence of post traumatic growth. Your trauma may be manifesting as anxiety, depression or other mood struggles. It may be showing up in repeated conflicts in your marriage, how you parent, how you connect in relationships and how you cope with stress altogether No matter how it manifest, I gently get to the root of your presenting issues, using evidence based trauma treatments such as EMDR, CBT  and rich psychoanalytic work to unearth the unconscious forces influencing your behavior.

Founder of Refuge Counseling Wellness Services

As a certified EMDR trauma therapist, I specialize in helping women of color address issues related to anxiety, trauma and spiritual growth by providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Psychoanalysis, and upon request Biblical/Christian Counseling.  I am passionate about building healthy (trauma informed) Christians, which involves addressing the wounded areas in our lives, our current unhealthy thoughts and behaviors and how that significantly impacts our spiritual growth, wellness and witness.

Here at Refuge Counseling I am committed to building healthy trauma informed individuals, families and communities,  one session at a time, providing holistic services that address our mental, emotional, spiritual and physical aspects of ourselves.
